Shooting the West XXIV — Exhibits & Vendors
Exhibits Vendors

Open to the Public

All exhibits, Vendor’s Alley, the Presenter’s Galley, Give it Your Best Shot… are open to the public Friday - Saturday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Presenter’s Gallery

Several of our presenters will have prints up in the Presenters’ Gallery adjacent to Vendor’s Alley.

Humboldt County Library

Great Basin Exteriors: A Photographic Survey — is a three-person show of photographers who are documenting a changing Western landscape. Adam Jahiel, Nolan Preece, and Daniel Cheek have three different but complimentary styles. Adam is presenting at Shooting the West this year, and Nolan has presented in the past. They both will give a talk at the library on Saturday, March 10, at 3:00 pm.

Many thanks to the Library and the Nevada Arts Council for continuing to bring these great shows to Winnemucca in conjunction with Shooting the West.

Humboldt Museum

The Museum is under new leadership. The collections are being dusted off and presented in fresh ways, the grounds have had a facelift, the old Episcopal Church has been renovated … you really should try to get there while you’re in Winnemucca! Their centerpiece collection is several sets of 13,000 year-old woolly mammoth bones from the Black Rock Desert. They will have extended hours during Shooting the West, and our Wednesday evening Chautauqua will be held in the church.
