How to Create Your Own Book: Guidelines for Self-Publishing

Join Teddy Swecker as she explains the process of self-publishing. The workshop begins with a slide presentation of her personal journey. She’ll show you how she created a picture book from the beginning idea to the final product. You’ll learn how to storyboard your ideas, design pages, write text and layout a book from cover to cover. A the end of the trail you’ll learn how to make your book come to life with the help of your own printer/graphic designer/publishing company.

Teddy has illustrated three books with co-authors: Mommi Watta, Spirit of the River written by Virginia Castleman, Under Open Skies by Keeli McClintick, Children In Distress, an art therapy book for medical students written by Linda Whitney Peterson and Milton Edward Hardin. She has also self-published two books of her own, Ducks Ducks, and Spirit Walkers.
