Digital Asset Management Training — DAMIT!
Never before have we been able to take pictures as cheaply and quickly. In a day, a photographer can produce hundreds of digital images. Then what? While the images are fresh in your mind, it’s easy to recall them. But what about next month or next year or ten years from now?
Longtime Shooting the West presenter Doug Keister will show you how to catalog, keyword, and find your images. Doug’s good-humored seminar will make the process as painless as possible. Doug has developed a system that enables you to find any image in seconds.
Doug’s system is based on Extensis Portfolio, but most of the concepts will port over easily to Lightroom, PS Elements, Aperture, or other cataloging software.
Bringing your own laptop is optional. Whether it will be beneficial has more to do with the way you learn than the way the class is constructed. In any kind of presentation-style class, there is always a trade off between paying close attention to what the instructor is demonstrating on the screen, and the advantage of actually performing the actions yourself. Doug will gladly advise you. If you do bring a laptop, a free trial version of Portfolio Extensis will be available.
Doug will be available throughout the entire symposium to answer questions and provide hands-on assistance.
